Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Fitld ("we," "us") handles personal information when you use our websites, apps, APIs, and related services ("Services"). It should be read together with our Terms of Use.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile. When you register, we collect identifiers such as name, email address, country, and credentials. Shoppers may provide demographic and body measurements used for size recommendations. Brands may provide company name, contact details, and billing-related information where applicable.
Technical data. We automatically collect information such as IP address, device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP, and usage logs (pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps) to secure and improve the Services.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and local storage for authentication, preferences, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may limit functionality.
2. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including size recommendations and brand dashboards.
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- Send transactional messages (verification, password reset, security alerts) and, where permitted, product updates.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
- Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage to improve performance and user experience.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Services you request); legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement), balanced against your rights; consent where required (e.g. certain marketing cookies); and legal obligation where applicable.
4. Sharing and processors
We share information with service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g. hosting, email delivery, analytics), subject to confidentiality and data-processing terms. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security. In a merger or acquisition, information may transfer to the successor under appropriate safeguards.
5. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
6. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Technical logs may be retained for a shorter or longer period depending on security and operational needs.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us using the email below. We may verify your identity before responding.
8. Children
The Services are not directed at children under the age where parental consent is required for data collection in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children.
9. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords and account protection.
10. California (CCPA/CPRA) notice
California residents may have additional rights under state law, including to know, delete, and opt out of certain "sales" or "sharing" of personal information. Fitld does not sell personal information for money. For requests, contact us at the email below.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post updates on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (e.g. email or in-app banner).
12. Data controller
The data controller for personal information processed through the Services is the Fitld entity identified on our Contact page or in your order documentation. Where we process on behalf of a brand (purely as a processor), the brand remains responsible for its own privacy notices to end customers.
13. Automated recommendations
Size recommendations may involve automated processing of measurements against size charts. This is not solely automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects in the GDPR sense; you may contact us to understand the logic at a high level and to correct underlying measurement data.
14. Regional notices
If you reside in Nevada (USA), you may have rights to opt out of certain sales of personal information as defined under state law—we do not sell covered information for monetary consideration. If you reside in Australia, you may have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)—contact us and we will respond in line with applicable timelines once we confirm your jurisdiction.
15. Breach notification
If we become aware of a personal data breach that requires notification under applicable law, we will follow the timelines and channels required for regulators and, where appropriate, affected individuals.
